Certified Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer through Adaptive Training Academy, Cambrie has a resilient story much like all of us, however hers embodies the reason why Resilience was created.
She writes, "I am very excited to be working with Resilience and be a part of the team. I am proud of the message it gives and grateful that I get to be a part of it. My journey in adaptive fitness started when I was fifteen. I was diagnosed with several health issues that landed me in a wheelchair temporarily. It was devestating to watch myself deteriorate at such a young age. I couldn't let that happen. So, my health became my top priority. It was such a challenge trying to workout in the state that I was in. My focus was to be healthy, not to look ripped or acquire gains. I cared more about living a healthy life and being able to live day to day enjoying the things that I loved. And that is exactly what I hope to accomplish as an adaptive and inclusive trainer.
Four years later and I am still on this journey, fighting the hardships with my health issues, but coming out better each and every day. It is my hope to introduce and inspire others to a life of functional fitness that provides them with the skills and knowledge they need to enjoy life despite any circumstances. I prioritize functional workouts and a lot of mobility and strength training." Her message to her clients is this, "You are my priority and I am here to meet your needs. We are all different and we should celebrate that. It is my hope to help you learn to love your body, listen to your body, love the small steps and the big ones, grow stronger and healthier, help you with your daily tasks and make them easier, and be able to live a life you love and feel strong in."
